Bahrain sets new Games record in women’s 400 m

Bahrain runner Salwa Naser booked a new Asian Games record in the women’s 400 meter category of the 2018 Asian Games with a time of 50.09 seconds at the Main Stadium of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, on Sunday.

The time booked in the final round improved on the time Salwa booked in the qualifying round of the women’s 400 m with 50.86 seconds on Saturday.

The silver medal went to Hima Das from India, who finished the race in 50.79 seconds, while the bronze was won by Kazakhstan’s Elina Mikhina at 52.63 seconds.
